OLIVER BEVAN Circuit

PART I

from May 27 to June 20

Domaine de Malaïgue - 30700 Blauzac

open from Monday to Saturday

930am - 12.30pm / 3.00 - 7.00pm

After a period making Op and Kinetic works Oliver Bevan moved towards a more figurative approach. London, with its urban networks, vehicles and passers- by who throng the streets, provide subjects which fascinate him. His colours are intense and contrasts striking. Geometric forms, treated like collage, evolve and simplify. Human figures make their appearance.

Now to get back to Oliver Bevan's current paintings, La Réserve is pleased to present two themes: the "Place aux Herbes" and the "Banks of the Gardon", the most recent canvases painted by the artist. Two series but just one subject: light and it's incredible effect on different places. The texture is fluid, and his light but rapid touch lures us into the canvas.
